North Bay Stage Company is proud to present Gilbert and Sullivan's THE MIKADO, Directed by John DeGaetano, with Musical Director Les Pfutzenreuter, and Asst. Direction by Chloe King.

The comic opera in two acts like you’ve never seen it before! The Mikado is one of Gilbert and Sullivan's most-loved works, and one of the most popular operettas in the English language. Set in the resort town of Titipu off the coast of Japan, The Mikado tells the tale of a beautiful schoolgirl, Yum-Yum, who's engaged to the executioner Ko-Ko, only to fall in love with the romantic minstrel Nanki-Poo – who happens to be pledged to Katisha. In classic G&S form, complications and merriment ensue.

This production by North Bay Stage Company is presented cabaret-style, putting you inside the story as you experience a fictional seaside resort in time with the cast and crew, along with the exotic tastes and looks from around the world.
